I Thought I’d Let Myself Go When I Got Older

The opposite happened.

I remember thinking when I was a young man that I would indulge in all my bad habits when I got older.

Why worry about the negative health effects of what I ate, drank, or smoked when I was over halfway to oblivion anyway? That was my naïve notion.
