Twenty-seven. That’s how old she was before she left this earth — someone close to my heart and soul. Why did she have to leave the earth so soon? I’m not sure. But her time came without notice, which is how it usually goes for most of us.

Thirty Isn’t Old Like It Used To Be

When I was still a kid, I thought 27 years old was old, but now that I’ve gotten older, I realize how young 27 is. It always hurts more when young people die because they always seem to have so much more life to live. In reality, we don’t know how long each of us has. We are only promised this moment, right here, right now.

Some of us will be on this earth until we’re 110, others until they’re 10, others until they’re 50. That’s the thing: we can all try to predict our futures, but we can’t ever be 100% sure.

Stop Trying To Predict Your Demise

The doctors might tell us we have three months to live, our genetics might tell us we will live until we’re 90 years of age, science might tell us we will die at 72.6 years of age, but nothing and no one can predict our time of death as fact.
