I am a sucker for self-help books, articles, and suggestions. I’m always drawn to believe I’ve missed just what I need to secure my eternal life or resolve that dizzy feeling I have in the morning or the pain in my hip. I’ve been the victim of a few scams (supplements to resolve tinnitus, anyone?) and think I have learned my lesson. But every so often, I’m hooked by a clever marketing ploy and listen way too long to a hard-to-believe advertisement for some life-changing product or program. With AI confusing the picture, it's even harder to feel confident about what I read online.
