What happened to words like groovy, boss and nifty?

For those of you who are writers, do you get annoyed by certain superlatives that are overused?

Take the word amazing. It’s a current term used to describe just about everything. Then there are the terms like and awesome.

When I get lazy with a Facebook post, I’m guilty of using all three.
