Learning to Live Intuitively in the Information Age
We have the inner wisdom we need to live our best lives
As I get older, I realize that I know how to live my life without someone telling me how to do it. For most of my life I thought there was one right way to live, and I was seeking desperately for it. This made me vulnerable to the voices who are out there willing to fill the void.
The church knew how I was supposed to live. My first husband knew how I was supposed to live. Books and magazines knew how I was supposed to live. The internet knew how I was supposed to live. And most of the time, it was not the way I was living. My own wisdom was dormant, waiting for me to wake it up. I didn’t even realize it existed.
Now, I am fully aware that I know how to live my life without someone else weighing in.
We are bombarded on a daily basis with articles and videos bearing titles like, “Five things you should never do before breakfast,” “Eating this will extend your life by 20 years,” “Never do this if you want to live cancer free,” “Do this if you want to ramp up your productivity in 2025.”
There may as well be one catchall video or article titled “WHY YOU ARE DOING EVERYTHING WRONG AND HOW TO FIX YOUR SORRY SELF.”
