If you are not (yet) a Bridgerton fan, let me bring you up to speed.

One of the many plot lines running through all three seasons is the goal of the Queen (and many others) to uncover the identity of the anonymous gossip writer, Lady Whistleldown.

We, as viewers, are privy to this information and follow the drive of the unassuming wallflower Penelope (aka Lady W) to practice her craft in secret.

You may be wondering, gentle reader, (to quote Lady W’s catchphrase) how the fanciful wigs, anachronistic music, and steamy bedroom scenes could possibly relate to real life. As we follow the antics of scandal scribe Penelope Featherington we are shown her challenges of wanting to fit in, while determined to pursue the passion to write that burns deep within her ample bosom.

While we may not be swanning around in corseted silk gowns, I’m sure we’ve all had dreams our families or society didn’t quite understand or support. And skills that went unnoticed or unappreciated.
