Peace of Mind

Jagged, sharp and wretched
Spiky from life’s insatiable demands

Belly-deep howls break free
Why? Why? Why me?

Let me flap and flounder
On life’s shores of wisdom
Saluting the genius of youth
Gliding through life
As we once knew it
