WARNING: If you’re triggered by people bitching about anything less than the world’s current state of affairs, this piece is not for you. My beef is small potatoes in comparison, but annoying af all the same.

I’ve decided to buy a wig. My once thick and luxurious head of kinky hair has grown thinner in the last year or so, and I’ve decided to not just live with it.

Wigs aren’t new to me. I went through a phase back in my early twenties. I had a cute little mushroom wig and a sexy shag. I even had a show-stopping Diana Ross-like number. It was fun, but the phase didn’t last long. When it was over, I gave the collection of hair to my aunt.

But today I’m hardly that same woman still trying out different hairstyles and personas. I know who I am and have a specific style of wig in mind. I’ve actually seen it online. Just not in the shade I want.

Trying to rock a black wig at this age would look silly. Salt & pepper is more for me. I’m ready for it. Heavy on the salt.

That can’t be difficult to find, right? I want this style but in this shade. Simple.
