Like many folks, one of my goals in retirement was to declutter my house. I have never been one to stress over parting with items I haven’t used for a period of time. Our home does have many meaningful treasures like photographs, art, and odd pieces of furniture considered to be antiques.

The dilemma in my mind — and I am sure many of you know the feeling- is what do I do with the stuff I know my children will not need?

Well, along comes Covid-19 to disrupt all our lives, and suddenly there’s plenty of “decluttering time” for us to mull over what to do with this mountain of stuff!

I have to tell you that my four sisters are also decluttering their houses right now. As they sort through their own things, they’ve called me several times to tell me they’ve mailed me something that I will really love. But when I finally receive the item, it turns out to be envelopes with photographs of me or my husband and children, which they thought I would like to keep!

Keep?! I’m decluttering!
