Snow Days

As wonderful as I imagined

For many years, I lacked the leisure (and perhaps the proper state of mind) to stop and enjoy the snow.

The demands of getting to work — clearing the car, steps, and driveway from the snow and ice; white-knuckle driving on slippery roads; repeating this all on the dark ride home — made snowy days feel like a very unwelcome visitation.
