Stapled and Laminated

Ageless, wise and forever young

The cherished daily grind quickly growing old
duplicated
wrinkled
stapled and laminated
bandaged
slightly constipated
infuriated
under-compensated.

The garden a refuge
a rabbit hole
far from gigabytes
subways
and the granite cityscapes,
the gentle breeze forever young
swaying with daffodils
dandelions and tumbleweeds
lined up like yellow cabs and ubers
just waiting to whisk me away.

grace notes: This time of year, I love gardening, feeling the touch of the earth and growing veggies and flowers. It just makes me feel ageless, wise and forever young. What do you do to break the monotony or the pressure of your daily grind?
