We All Suffer From Two Great Addictions. Yes. That Means You and Me, Too.
And they are ripping us apart.
While it’s tempting to accuse me of a clickbait title, in truth it isn’t. This is about addressing aspects of our humanity, how we are wired in our humanity, and how being addicted to these two things is at the beating heart of hate, war, breakups, well, kinda all of it.
No, I’m not nuts.
Okay, okay, I lied. I am nuts, but not entirely.
I write about this kind of thing a lot, and the threads are woven into all my material. I will also state right up front that none of this excludes me; I am as driven by some of this as anyone. If there are saving graces, I might have two. Maybe. They are:
First, I am well aware of them.
Second, I find it funny once I stop being so embarrassed, can ridicule those things, and that allows me to work on them.
Stay with me here. See if this makes sense.
The two great addictions for our collective humanity:
- I HAVE TO BE RIGHT AND YOU HAVE TO BE WRONG, NO MATTER WHAT, AT ALL…
