Why Don’t Middle-Aged People Stretch?

No pain, no gain

The only time I stretch is when my body gets jacked up and I can’t move it. Then, I do some twisting and limb shaking until I feel less stiff. I’m not sure you can call that stretching. I think the proper term is unjamming.

I never stretched. I grew up in an era where we were advised, “NO PAIN NO GAIN!”
