Why I Decided Not to Have My Eyelids Lifted

Ever since I went through menopause the changes in my skin have been startling. Suddenly, my skin is flaccid in places it was once firm. My neck is crepey, and my jaws are sagging. I have a double chin. But the thing that bothers me the most is my eyelids. They have let go, and they make my eyes seem to disappear.
I have spent a lot of time standing in the mirror holding my eyelids up with my fingers to see how much better I would look if they would just stay up there when I let go. But, alas, they always fall right back down and laugh at my attempts to defy gravity.
In the way of the all-knowing internet, suddenly ads for eyelid-lifting strips started showing up in my feeds. I passed over them for a while thinking they were probably just hype, but one day I clicked on the link, watched the video, and the next thing I knew I had plunked down $70 US dollars for two boxes of tiny little sticky strips.
