Yay Patagonia!

I’m proud to wear this Unofficial Senior Uniform.

Patagonia rules! (Author photo)

My seven-year-old grandson recently asked me why I wear the same thing every day.

“Because I want to,” I told him.

This response made perfect sense to him, and it makes perfect sense to me too.

I’m 69. I’m single. I can do whatever I want. I can wear whatever I want. And what I want is to wear is something cozy and comfortable that I don’t have to think about, protect from wear-and-tear or God forbid, dry clean.

And? It better have plenty of pockets, since I don’t carry a purse.

So? Every day, I put on comfortable pants, some kind of T-shirt, and a Patagonia vest.

Prepared in Patagonia

In Patagonia, I am prepared for whatever my day brings. Writing. Editing. Playing the piano. Cleaning the house. Rocking my beautiful newborn baby grand-niece. Taking care of my three young grandsons.
