1. Bee and Puppycat was made by artist Natasha Allegri, who revised storyboards for Adventure Time.

2. Allegri is longtime friends with Pendleton Ward, the creator of Adventure Time, who scouted her for the show’s team!

3. It was while she was working on Adventure Time that Allegri developed the concept for Bee and Puppycat.

4. The show’s unique visuals take a large amount of inspiration from ’90s anime, especially Sailor Moon and Superbook, two titles Allegri grew up with.

5. When it was initially pitched to him, Eric Holman, the head of creative development at Frederator Studios, rejected Bee and Puppycat.

6. Luckily, he reconsidered and ended up green-lighting the project!

7. Bee and Puppycat initially aired as a two-part pilot on Cartoon Hangover’s YouTube channel.

8. Fan response was so hugely positive, however, that Cartoon Hangover decided to set up a Kickstarter to fund a whole season of the show!

10. The Bee and Puppycat Kickstarter met its goals and then some, becoming the most successful animation Kickstarter in the crowd-funding website’s history.

11. Bee is voiced by Allyn Rachel, an actress who has appeared in the New Girl, Comedy Bang Bang!, and a large variety of commercials!

12. Puppycat’s unique voice was created in the voice synthesizer software Vocaloid!

13. Tempbot was voiced by Hannah Hart in one episode of the show, who runs the popular YouTube channel My Drunk Kitchen.

14. At first, Bee and Puppycat was animated by the Korean studio Dong Woo Animation, but then switched to the anime studio OLM!*

15. Bee and Puppycat was made into a comic series published by Kaboom! and co-written and drawn by Natasha Allegri herself!

16. The music of Bee and Puppycat was written by Will Wiesenfield (aka Baths), who also wrote the theme song for the popular video game Dream Daddy Dating Simulator.
