New GKids Movies Come to VRV!

VRV is happy to welcome three new movies from our friends at GKids! 3 animated films — Patema Inverted, A Letter to Momo, and The Rabbi’s Cat — are now available to stream on the VRV Select channel. We’ve included details and brief synopses for each of the films below, so be sure to check them out on VRV!

Patema Inverted (2013, dir. Yasuhiro Yoshiura)

From the director of Time of Eve comes a perspective-twisting anime adventure about two people separated by opposite gravities. Together they set out to discover the secret that keeps their worlds apart. Available to watch with English audio and Japanese audio with English subtitles.

A Letter to Momo (2011, dir. Hiroyuki Okiura)

From the creators of Ghost in the Shell comes a wonderfully expressive and beautifully hand drawn animated tale that follows Momo, a young girl whose father is missing, and a trio of monsters she finds living in her attic! Available to watch with English audio and Japanese audio with English subtitles.

The Rabbi’s Cat (dir. Joann Sfar, Antoine Delesvaux)

A cat belonging to a widowed rabbi and his beautiful daughter eats the family parrot and miraculously gains the ability to speak. Rich with the colors, textures, flavors and music of Mediterranean Africa, the film embarks on a cross-continent comedic adventure through colonial Algiers and under vast Saharan skies in search of a lost Ethiopian city. Available to watch with French audio with English subtitles.
