I watched him walking along the prairie — he never noticed me
My instinct said be the hunter, not the hunted — I was always taught to obey
The human thought he could trick me; he attempted mental games against the pride
It was a rough life, leading the pride — there were no snow days for rest
I always love the loyalty we had, traveling as one whole
The pain the humans cause gave us the strength for a resurrection that no human obsession could defeat
How serendipitous was it that the man who killed my mate now walked along my path
