My grandma & I — Circa May 1983

The sounds in my dreams were provding a sense of serenity to my anxiety driven mind. It was as if a songbird sung a lovesong just for me.

The musical tones continued throughout my sleep and just as I was about to wake a voice entered.

I could hear her distinct notes being sung, memories flooded my mind.

Her mellifluous voice gave me waves of warmth flooding over me.

I miss you Grandma, so very much. And today, I hear you in my head, your wonderous voice that brought so much happiness.

Always carrying you in my heart, but tonight, you sang me to sleep.
