A Herb Vs Reality Story
The cat burglar crept around the living room very quietly. She didn’t want to disturb the sleeping residents. She put her hand in the big bag of glitter she brought from home, and threw handfuls into the Christmas tree. It wasn’t decorated enough, she thought. But she wanted to surprise her grandparents.
“Cheri! What are you doing up at this hour? Honey, its two o’clock in the morning. You need to go back to bed.”
Herb took her little hand and led her down the hallway to her room and tucked her in with her teddy bear. He kissed her on the cheek and walked back out to the living room.
He looked at the tree and how it shimmered in the moonlight. He smiled, a tear in his eye, and said, “And the crowd goes wild!”
