An Affair Aside…
“Nice.” Helen said looking around the cul de sac where Janelle lived when she picked her up.
“It is.” Janelle said.
Helen started the engine and turned the car. She took them towards the city.
“So how you finding things?” she asked, stopping the car at a red light.
“Good,” the black woman said. “Still getting to know people.”
“Yeah,” Helen nodded. “Takes time.”
Helen smiled and reach for the stick.
