Submission Guidelines for Crush Publications
Welcome to Crush Publications! Sunny A Morgan Storyteller and Skylar Quinn are thrilled you stopped by! Crush Publications is the perfect place to write and read all your erotic fantasies and more. We specialize in crush themes, but we want all your erotic fantasies. Okay, well, maybe not all of them. We have a list of things we will not accept below. We also have two sister publications for specific niches (see below).

When writing age-gap and pseudo incest (step) it must be clear the characters are at least eighteen. Either mention age or add a disclaimer.
Any suggestions or edits to stories will be added in private comments on the story. No one but the editors and the writer will be able to see these comments. Reply on the private comment complete when changes have been made or message one of the editors. Once edits are completed we will remove comments from the story.
Writing Prompts will be held every six weeks and writing contests every quarter.
About Us:
Skylar and Sunny have been writing partners for thirteen years and have founded a previous publication ten years ago. They have a wealth of knowledge pertaining to publishing, marketing, and being independent authors. They love to share their knowledge and to learn from others. They value their peers and readers and will do their best to always listen and be supportive.
Crush Publications is a safe place for writers to explore and share their own sexualities, kinks, fetishes, basically anything, erotica within reason. Stipulations to the exclusions are listed below.
What Do We Want?:
- Original erotic themed short stories that allow readers to explore various genres, kinks, fetishes, and so on…
- Slow Burn Erotica Serials (sex is not in every story of a continuing series) Editors must know the plan in advance.
- Non fiction stories about being an erotic writer the ups and downs. Speak with either Sunny or Skylar about these for more details.
- We want to include as many kinks, genres, and niches as possible. Here are examples of kinks you can include, but there are many others you can explore too.. LGBTQ+, BDSM, Bondage, Spanking, Daddy Kink, Age Gap, Threesomes, Reverse Harem, Sharing, Multiple Partners, Gangbangs, Gender Swap, Food, and the list can go on and on. If you are concerned because your kink is not listed, just let us know. It is most likely just an oversight on our part. (Hotwife, cheating, free use, and cuckold will now have its own publication, HALL PASS)
- Edited stories with any word count. Keep in mind 7 minutes and under stories do the best on this platform, but you are welcome to submit longer stories. We may suggest breaking them up into parts if it is too long.
- Draft form unless previously published. Stories can not be published in two places or have a duplicate of the same story.
- A note at the bottom directing readers to your Medium page and/or previous stories.
- All stories must contain an IMAGE that does not show nudity. You must have the right to use the image. Please use image caption to provide credited image information.
- Follow Medium’s policies
What Is Not Allowed within Crush Publications:
- Anything Illegal — This includes but not limited to, on page rape, incest, minors(all characters must be at least 18 and their age MUST be clear), etc.
- Dubious Consent and Consensual Non-Consent are permitted as long as there is a warning at the BEGINNING of your story, and it is clear in the story that it is actually consensual.
- Stories with illegal or harmful physical or mental objectification of characters based on race, age, weight, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any protected class.
- Non Erotica unless it is in a Slow Burn Series. Occasionally, we will make exceptions for meta/opinion/ confession pieces. We will need to know about it ahead of time, and it will be a case-by-case decision.
- Poetry
- Poorly or unedited stories. Your work is a representation of you and our publication. We expect every story to have been edited and ready for publishing. There are multiple online editing programs you may use to help with the process. Such as ProWritingAid and Grammarly.
TAGS/FEATURED HOMEPAGE:
Paranormal/Fantasy: Please use the tag PARANORMAL when publishing a paranormal or fantasy themed story. This will automatically move the story to our Paranormal/Fantasy Page.
BDSM: Please use the tag BDSM when publishing a story that will have a BDSM theme. This will automatically move the story to our BDSM Page.
Prompt: Please use the tag PROMPT when publishing one of our writing prompt stories. This will automatically move the story to our Prompt Page.
Series: If you are writing a series, please use the tag SERIES. This will automatically move the story to our Series Page.
Meta: If you are writing a Non-Fiction article, please use the tag META. This will automatically move the story to our Non-Fiction Page.
Age-Gap: If you are writing a story or series with an age-gap theme, please use the tag AGE GAP. This will automatically move the story to our Age Gap Page.
Our goal was to make it easier for readers to find the type of stories they want to read. We hope our solution is not too difficult for writers.
We would require writers to use one of the above tags on their stories to match the appropriate page.
If this is not done, we will message and ask what tag you want us to change to the correct page tag. If we do not see a response within a day, we will change a tag. We feel makes sense.
How to become a writer for us:
Comment on this article, acknowledging you have read our guidelines, follow the publication on medium @crushpublications and twitter (@crushpub) and we will add you.
How to submit:
- Once we have added you as a writer, please submit your stories in draft form through the Medium Interface.
- There is a drop-down menu on the top right of your account when writing a story, with “…” that will have an option “add to publication.” Click that, then choose the publication and remember to save your choice. If everything was done correctly, the “Publish” button will now say “Submit.”
Story Acceptance and Publishing Schedule:
- We hope we are able to accept all stories submitted, but this may not always be the case. If we feel the story is not right for our publication or tweaks need to be made, we will make suggestions and give you the opportunity to resubmit in the future.
- We strive to publish stories within 72 hours of submission, but there may be a delay depending on the amount of submissions. Thank you in advance for understanding.
- If you are submitting a serial/series, please message one of the editors, the schedule you would like, and we will do our best to make it happen.
