Crust Gateway Collection Program Season 2
The Crust Gateway Collection Program has been running successfully for one year. During this time, we have received support from the community, resulting in a peak of 13 gateways, with 11 gateways currently operating stably.
To show our appreciation for the long-term support of high-quality, stable gateways, the DCF (Decentralized Cloud Foundation) has re-evaluated and increased the total reward pool for these contributors.
We are excited to officially announce the launch of the new season of the Crust Gateway Collection Program! Compared to last year, we are increasing the total rewards and encouraging gateways from new regions. Here are the details:
Rewards:
- 1800CRU ~ 5000CRU per year
- Rewards will be distributed monthly over 12 months after confirmation as a community gateway.
- New Incentive: If your gateway is located in a region not yet covered, particularly in Europe or US, you will receive an additional 500CRU reward.
Gateway Technical Specifications
Minimum Configuration:
- CPU: 16 cores, 32 threads
- Memory: 32GB
- Disk: 1TB SSD (ensure disk space is available)
- Public IP and Bandwidth: 1 public IP, 100Mbps bandwidth
- Operating System: CentOS/Ubuntu
- Domain: One gateway access domain
Recommended Configuration:
- CPU: 20 cores, 40 threads
- Memory: 64GB
- Disk: 4TB * 5 SSD (forming RAID 5)
- Public IP and Bandwidth: 2 public IPs (IP1: 100Mbps for IPFS node sync, IP2: 200Mbps for user access)
- Operating System: CentOS/Ubuntu
- Domain: One gateway access domain
How to Participate
- Register a Gateway:
- Follow the GitHub guide to register a gateway.
- Once registered, the gateway will be listed on the Crust apps website for community contributions.
2. Submit a Proposal:
- Once your gateway meets the technical standards, submit a proposal in the Crust apps Democracy section to apply for treasury funding. The proposal submission address must match the address in the gateway application PR to prove ownership.
3. Council Approval:
- The Crust Council will vote on candidate gateways based on application materials and test results. If approved, the DCF will coordinate the Council to grant the approval.
4. Contribution Reward:
- Upon approval, a one-time treasury reward will be granted, with cost subsidies distributed monthly over 12 months, contingent on the gateway’s operational status.
Treasury Proposal Application Guide
- Submit a Proposal:
- Enter Crust apps, select Governance -> Treasury -> Submit proposal.
- In the Value field, enter 10 CRU. Ensure your account balance exceeds 0.5 CRU to cover the 5% CRU stake required for submitting a proposal.
2. Proposal Details:
- Click Sign and submit the proposal.
- Edit the proposal content on the subsquare page, including the gateway name, your Telegram username, and the configuration used.
3. Council Voting:
- The Council will vote to approve or reject each proposal. Once approved, the DCF will distribute the remaining rewards.
