What is CSM?

CSM is the native token of Crust Shadow. Crust Shadow is a “Kusama version” of the Crust network, an early and unreviewed available code which has real economic value. Crust Shadow is designed as a Kusama parachain, and now is one of Kusama’s Parachains.

Crust Shadow is a testing application for XCMP, which can provide storage functions for other parachains. Storage orders from the relay chain will be passed to Crust Maxwell’s storage market.

CSM Token Metric

The total supply of CSM is 200 million, which will all be used for community incentives.

50% allocate to CRU liquidity pool

20% allocate to Kusama parachain auction

10% community airdrop

20% reserve for promotion

CSM in Crust Shadow Network

Crust Shadow is a network with storage capabilities, where storage orders from other networks will be transmitted to the Crust Mainnet for storage.

In the Shadow network, the CSM token has several main functions: 1. It gives the Shadow network real economic value. 2. It serves as a transaction fee for using the network. 3. It can be used to purchase resource services. 4. It can be used for candidate election and voting in the on-chain governance mechanism, and to vote on proposals.

Just like CRU on the Crust Mainnet, CSM has the same functions. The difference is that there are currently no plans to open up the staking function for CSM, and external node deployment is not supported at this time.

Crust Shadow Network Ecosystem

Currently, the most widely used cross-chain solution in the crypto community is the cross-chain bridge, and the largest application in general message cross-chain is the asset cross-chain bridge, which transfers assets from one chain to another for relevant DeFi operations. In Polkadot, the relay chain assigns validators randomly to each parachain, thereby achieving shared security. Under this structure, the cross-chain message passing protocol XCMP for parachains has been developed. The cross-chain message passing protocol XCMP is a subset of the Polkadot protocol. It defines how messages are passed between parachains without any other trust assumptions except for shared relay chain security.

Before XCMP was officially launched, Polkadot used HRMP + XCM to cross-chain.

Based on this technology, Crust Shadow can interact with various projects in the Kusama ecosystem through cross-chain.

In the following figure, the cooperative relationships between Shadow and other networks can be seen, including: Subsocial, Robonomics, Crab, Karura, Khala, Moonriver, Bifrost, Shiden, Turing and more.

CSM Transfer in the Crust Ecosystem

CSM is now present on both the Shadow Network and ERC20 chain. If you want to transfer CSM from ERC20 to the Shadow Network, you can claim it on the Shadow Apps using the following link:

You can access the Shadow Apps here:

If you want to transfer CSM from Shadow to ERC20, there is currently no bridge available, so you can only transfer CSM from ERC20 to the Shadow Network.

How to trade CSM

To acquire CSM, you can use the following platforms:

· CSM (ERC20) can be obtained from:

Uniswap https://app.uniswap.org/#/swap

· CSM (Shadow) can be obtained from:

Kraken https://www.kraken.com/

Karura https://apps.karura.network/

Polkadot js, Talisman, SubWallet all support CSM on Karura.

There will be more platform support in the future, so stay tuned.
