Join the Crust Shadow Crowdloan for the Kusama Parachain Slot Auction

As a key to Kusama’s scalable multichain architecture, parachains connect to the network by leasing a slot on the Relay Chain via a permissionless auction. As Polkadot’s canary network, Kusama is rolling out parachain auctions first for testing and optimization. Parachains will likely be onboarded to Kusama gradually at first to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Kusama’s first slot will be launched at 20:00 (UTC+8) on June 15th, 2021, and Crust will participate in the first slot auction! We believe that the Polkadot parachain slot auction is coming soon, which is of great significance to the launch of Crust’s mainnet. At present, Crust has actively prepared the Kusama parachain auction and launched a specific incentivized plan. A total of 90,000 CRU and 18,000,000 CSM will be immediately distributed once the auction is successfully completed. Crust welcomes all the community members to actively join the crowdloan and vote for Crust to earn generous rewards.

Centralized Channels

1. OKEx Exchange

On June 8, OKEx launched the “Kusama Early Bird Auction”, allowing OKEx users to lockup KSM on the currency earning page and vote before the Kusama parachain slot auction time announced by Official Polkadot. During this time, users can earn double rewards from OKEx and the project party.

Activity Rules:

During the activity, users can vote for Crust in advance on the Kusama slot auction page, lock KSM, and receive 30% DOT ARR rewards, plus weekly incentives at a ratio of 1 KSM: 0.07 CRU + 14 CSM.
The activity rewards are divided into two parts. DOT rewards from OKEx will be distributed to the user’s currency-earning account within 10 working days after the activity ends; the Crust early bird auction rewards will be distributed to the user’s currency-earning account after the activity ends.

Participation Process (take Web as example):

1. Click on the page to see the projects listed for the slot auction. When the activity starts, you will see the “Vote” button on the right side. You can choose to vote for Crust and stake KSM to achieve “one-click voting”.

2. After voting, OKEx will vote on chain for users.

3. If the auction is successful, OKEx will receive Crust rewards and send them to user accounts. If the auction fails, OKEx will withdraw the assets from the crowdloan and return to users, and distribute the rewards of the crownloan.

2. Math Wallet

Participation Process:

1. Enter the auction page, choose Crust, click and enter the project details.

2. When the auction starts, enter the amount of KSM at this page and click “Vote”.

3. After the auction ends, rewards will be distributed to your Math Wallet.

3. Kraken

Participation Process:

1. Go to the parachains page of the Kraken website, select Crust Shadow.

2. Click the icon on the right side of the page to enter the KSM staking page, input the KSM amount that you want to contribute, and then click “Contribute”.

4. Hotbit

Participation Process:

1. Go to the Hotbit parachain auction page, choose Crust Shadow.

2. After the auction starts, “Upcoming” on the page will become “Vote”, then click “Vote” to lock a certain number of KSM. The detailed tutorial will be provided by Hotbit after the voting is officially launched.

3. Users lock KSM to support projects on Hotbit, and Hotbit will vote on the chain for users. If a project wins the parachain auction, Hotbit will receive the project rewards on behalf of users and send them to users. If the project is not successful, Hotbit will retrieve the users’ assets from the chain, return it to users, and distribute rewards during the crowdloan period.

Webpage Participation Process:

1. Install Polkadot.js plug-in wallet, and log in with the corresponding ID.

2. Enter activity page: https://polkadot.nutbox.io/#/crowdloan/kusama/parachain/2012

Here, you can see the Crust parachain, slot auction information and other communities which cooperate with Crust for this auction

3. According to your needs, join a crowdloan and participate in the slot auction crowdloan.

4. Enter amount (Referrer is optional) and confirm your vote. A Pokadot.js signature interface will pop up.

5. Enter your account details and password, sign the transaction to complete the vote.

6. You can check weekly revenue in the ”Auction Information” in the Crust Shadow section.

2. TP Wallet

1. Open TP wallet, login to your Polkadot account, click “Find”. Then, enter polkadot.nutbox.io in the top input box, click “Go to DApp: polkadot.nutbox.io” to enter the home page of the Nutbox Slot Auction.

2. Click “Crust Shadow”, and then click “Contribute”. Enter the number of votes in the pop-up box, click “Confirm & Sign”. This will call the TP wallet to sign. In the pop-up interface, click “Confirm”, and your vote is complete.

3. Click the “menu” in the upper left corner next to Logo and then click “Wallet”, so that you can view your wallet information and voting information.

3. Atoken

Participation Process:

1. Find Crust at the project page and click the “>” to enter the details page.

2. Click “Participate Auction”, and enter the Kusama amount to complete the vote.

3. Rewards will be displayed directly in the Atoken wallet.

4. Polkadot Apps

1. Download and install the polkadot.js plug-in wallet

Click the upper right corner and create the wallet, and then save the private key.

2. Enter Polkadot Apps, and it will automatically connect the wallet you just created:

3. Click in the upper left corner, select Kusama network and click “Switch”.

4. Find and click “Parachain” in the “Network” column. This will show the ongoing projects for the parachain slot auction. Later, the information of successful parachains will be displayed at this page. Find the crowdloans at this page and choose Crust Shadow.

5. After connecting to the wallet, click “Contribute”, enter the number of votes in the pop-up box, and then click “Confirm & Sign”. Your vote is complete!
