This week we had the privilege of hosting a dozen outstanding early stage cybersecurity founders in the heart of San Francisco including CRV backed Impart Security’s co-founder and CEO Jonathan DiVincenzo and ProjectDiscovery’s CCO Andy Cao.

It was an evening filled with thought provoking discussions, insightful exchanges and a shared passion for securing the digital landscape. The conversations revolved around some of the most pressing topics in the field with a particular focus on AI security, advancements in identity within the modern enterprise stack and the broader macro trends influencing sales cycles and ACV’s (Annual Contract Value) for cybersecurity solutions.

Locking IT Down — CRV’s Cybersecurity Dinner at Pabu Izakaya in San Francisco

The intersection of AI and security has become increasingly critical, as organizations grapple with the evolving threat landscape. Our discussions delved into the promising advancements in leveraging artificial intelligence to strengthen cyber defenses while also thinking about protecting LLMs themselves.

Additionally, we explored the advancements in identity management within the modern enterprise stack. With the proliferation of cloud services, IoT devices and remote work arrangements, ensuring secure and seamless access has become paramount.

Furthermore, we delved into the macroeconomic factors impacting sales cycles and ACV’s for cybersecurity solutions. Seemingly more resilient than most categories — it appears as long as there are still bad actors, there will still be budget.

A special thanks to all the founders and CRV portfolio companies who played an instrumental role in bringing this gathering to life. We are incredibly grateful for your commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the cybersecurity community.

If you’re building in cybersecurity, get to know our team and feel free to reach out.
