Today, CRV is proud to announce our investment in mabl’s $10M Series A round. The company’s machine learning-driven automated testing service is now available for free early access.
This is an especially exciting announcement for us as it is the result of almost a decade of work. When I met the co-founders, Izzy Azeri and Dan Belcher, for the first time in 2008, I immediately knew I wanted to be involved in whatever they do next. It took a few more years before they founded their first company, Stackdriver, which was a cloud monitoring service that was eventually acquired by Google. I couldn’t participate in that investment, as I was already the lead investor in their direct competitor, Datadog. So, when they left Google to start mabl, I was the first in line and I’m thrilled to finally have the opportunity to work with them.
So what is mabl?
mabl is your ML-powered virtual QA engineer that makes sure your website and web services are always up and running. It removes the need for scripting, detects bugs, and automatically heals tests that would otherwise break with UI changes. With mabl, dev teams can focus their time on building and improving products instead of maintaining a test infrastructure.
