The response to our support of immigrant founders was incredible. Thank you, deeply, to everyone.
Across the partnership, we received hundreds of personal, heartfelt messages of support and solidarity. Publicly, the positive tweets and retweets blew us away.
Yes, there were some hateful and negative messages as well — but we believe strongly in our right, and every organization’s right, to vocalize opinions. We must have more leadership talking about the benefits that immigrants have brought to America and, specifically, to Silicon Valley. The hateful, targeted messages only serve as further proof points that Trump’s platform and supporters don’t support the values we live and work by — and that they don’t support the very values that make Silicon Valley, and America, great.
All told, we are grateful for all of you supporting CRV. The Silicon Valley community is incredible and that has resonated. The personal stories you’ve shared with us reinforce our values and message.
As we wrote yesterday, entrepreneurship is about knocking down walls, moving people toward a common goal, and creating the unthinkable from scratch.
