Six months ago we announced leading Carrot Fertility’s Series A and today is a major milestone, for the company and the thousands of employees they support. Carrot announced the Carrot Card, a first-of-its-kind, flexible fertility debit card for employees who have access to Carrot at work.

Further verticalizing their platform from a benefit and resource center to now managing benefit payments and networks, Carrot reduces bottom-line costs (and stress!) for employees and employers alike. No surprise the likes of Box, Slack, and Stitch Fix are now offering Carrot’s service and over $3B in new employer-sponsored fertility spend will flow through the Carrot platform in 2020.

“The Carrot Card removes the single most significant barrier to accessing high-quality fertility care and treatment: cost.” — Tammy Sun, CEO of Carrot Fertility

Today’s announcement is foreshadowing for the direction and innovation the company is marching towards: People now have both a financial partner and a fertility partner, in a single trusted place as they navigate one of the most stressful phases of their lives. Finally, individuals and families aren’t alone in the process of family formation.

It’s been incredible to watch the team execute their vision so far. You’ll see more of their fertility platform vision emerge in the coming months and years.
