I am sobbing, trembling, shaking, hyperventilating into his embrace that holds me from across the world. He is here and not here, close and distant, holding and refusing parts of me that I struggle to carry. He had been resisting my emotionality because it was too painful for either one of us to consciously bear but now he holds me fully regardless of my intensity, a source of hope and stability as the world churns wretchedly.
