Poet Louise Glück wins Nobel Prize for Literature

In case you didn’t remember, the noble prize announcements happened this past week. The literary award went to American poet Louise Glück. She is currently a professor of English at Yale University and the 16th woman to receive the Noble Prize for literature, which is typically reserved for novelists.

Glück’s work was described by the committee as “candid and uncompromising.” The prize comes with a $1.5 million award.
