Inspiration and education for creatives

This article will detail what CRY is about, writer and content guidelines, and HOW TO SUBMIT. (Updated December 13, 2020).

About CRY

Making a living as a writer and artist isn’t just about knowing how to reach an audience. There are emotional aspects that are just as important. Maybe you’re frustrated about finding time to create, maybe you have young kids, maybe money is an issue.

All of this impacts your journey as a writer and artist and that’s what CRY is about. It’s a space to navigate your creative journey — with an intentional focus on the emotional ups and downs. The rejection, the celebration, the pain and trauma; all of it is part of what makes us writers and artists and that’s what we’ll be sharing on CRY.

Our Mission: All emotions are wrapped in tears

CRYing is the only action that can encompass all emotions. Whether you’re sad, angry, happy, scared or frustrated, crying is an appropriate response. With that concept, our mission at CRY is to create content that emotionally connects to our audience. We want them to be moved to action by the words we write, the videos we produce, the images we share and the stories we tell. This connection is the measure of true art, and we hold ourselves to that standard with every piece we create.
