Crypterium Contest rewards distributed

Back in March 2018, Crypterium launched a contest to celebrate the coming of CRPT tokens to the HitBTC exchange. We offered a very generous reward: anyone could post their prediction of the price for CRPT tokens in 6 months’ time for a chance to win $100 000.

The average price predicted by participants was $15.5 per CRPT token, yet shortly after the start of the contest, the crypto market turned into a bloodbath with capitalization falling from over $800 to $200 billion. There was no cryptocurrency that could hold against the crash so the most pessimistic contestants turned out to be right.

Although no one guessed the exact price $0,4083 (it was calculated on HitBTC over the period from September 24, 2018, 0:00 a.m. to September 26, 2018, 0:00 a.m.), the team has chosen three closest predictions to this number.

There were three lucky individuals who guessed close enough. We have reached out to them last week, and today we’ve made the transfers — each of the winners received $33,333 worth of CRPT.

Of course, most people thought the token price was going to be higher: at the time we launched that competition, everything was coming up, the world was very positive for crypto, and everybody just assumed crypto is going to carry on going through the roof. Today, the crypto market is worth a quarter of what it was back then, and there were some pessimistic people out there who turned out to be the correct,” — Crypterium COO Austin commented during the latest Livestream.

Tokens distributed to the winners were purchased on one of the crypto exchanges. We are not going to disclose the names of the winners. However, we’d like to show the txhashes of transactions that we’ve made.
