A new feature in Cryptic Legends — except for all you veterans who are already playing our beta — is the ability to train your heroes in order to improve their abilities temporarily.

Here’s how it works: heroes have three base abilities: Body, Mind and Spirit. These are fixed and cannot be changed by the hero’s level advancement. That’s where training comes in.

Every hero can be sent to train, although there are limited training slots, three per each ability, two of which must be unlocked. So, to begin with, you can have a maximum of three heroes training simultaneously, one training Body, another Mind and the third Spirit.

Training takes time. For now, it takes 2 hours, during which time, the hero is unavailable. This can be cut short by spending potions, which you can get by winning battles.

Once a hero is trained, their ability is increased by 1, and this increase lasts for 8 hours.

Use that time well to wade into the fray and smash your enemies!
