Rapids Network (RPD) describes itself as a community-oriented and decentralized blockchain that is focused on integrating widgets into mainstream social media platforms to facilitate the sending and receiving of payments amongst friends, family, colleagues, B2C, B2B and B2B E-Commerce.

Our goal is to be able to combine new technologies and comfort of life with the respect for nature and the planet

Mass Adoption — Rapids itself is a huge community project that has hundreds of Ambassadors, and other community members, volunteering their time and energy to translate text to native language, including help with development. Lots of members have integrated RPD into their own personal projects which has helped give amazing exposure

Our main goal is to make RPD available to users to transact over any platform available on the internet. Which we will have completed by the end of the day once our mobile wallet is released in the appstores.

These mobile wallets allow users to send crypto via url links to anywhere on the internet, even via sms or email!

Where does RPD come from?

Just our way of appreciating our community and giving something back to them for their support, also helps with any questions or queries about the network as a forum style.

Rapids was originally created as an erc-20 token back in august 2018, which then swapped to its own mainnet in december 2018 to give us a better foundation to create the software and products we imagined

Matt Cimelli | Rapids Network:

RPD NOW utilizes a two-tiered, energy efficient network that combines a Proof of Stake (PoS) protocol, for the creation of new blocks and the security of the network, and a Masternode network to enhance the stability, provide functionalities, and community-based governance.

Running a Masternode or Staking with Rapids has many benefits and rewards.

Each block creates new RPD which you can win for supporting our network, which is spendable within 6 confirmations! A great way to earn passive income on your holdings.

Masternodes will enable holders to vote & submit ideas for improving the entire network and to have access to many benefits across our network; Rapids Host Platform and partnered exchanges including airdrops for trading and memberships.

Well I’m sure you all know this but we have a mobile wallet due for release today! on both googleplay and appstore which some great features included! as well as a core wallet upgrade which will include cold staking and other features due to start rolling out this weekend

We’re currently working on a tipbot upgrade too which will make out tipbots available to the public on multiple platforms with a easy to use user-dashboard

Our blockchain itself is fully transparent all transactions can be viewed on the block explorer rapidsexplorer.com, We’ve added extra security to our core wallets as well as editing our binary to remove and add code to benefit the Network

Your rewards program are 35% for staking and 65% for Masternodes, why such a difference in favor of masternodes?

The difference in percentages are down to the fact that people running a masternode hugely benefits the network by running through their own vps as well as being a slight incentive for users to hold a larger amount of RPD.

Long-term visions always change due to tech but one thing we will always strive for is the ease of use case for mass adoption. Crypto and blockchain doesn’t need to be difficult; which is why we’ve put time and energy into social media platforms. They already exist and we can inject RPD into their established communities.
