Group is muted 🔇 for AMA with Uniworld.io. Read Rules For the Participation in AMA.
Hello all!
Today we have amazing team from Uniworld.io for AMA session. Welcome to our community Mr. Joey and Mr. Henry 🤝
Welcome @joey_jaz @henry_ngv
Henry:
Thank @Beetle . Its great to be here :)
Beetle:
Let’s slide into our AMA
Can you please introduce yourself to the community?
Joey Bertschler:
Sure
I work with various blockchain and AI companies such as bitgrit since 2017. A lot of my work revolves around automisation and streamlining manufacturing processes.
Forbes put it this way:
Joey Bertschler is a multi-corporate tech executive and contributor to various outlets such as Forbes and Hacker Noon. CEO of Cool Japan Holdings — the environmental enterprise aiming to make Japan Co2 neutral by 2030 — and the VP of the Security Token Alliance, the industry’s largest think tank with over 100 partners. He is also a public speaker and a member of the European AI Alliance, Harvard Business Review, YEC and MIT Technology Review.
He started his entrepreneurial journey as a teenager by managing a media outlet and an internet provider company before specializing in Content Marketing and Blockchain. He visited over 20 countries building a truly cosmopolitan mindset.
Beetle:
Wow! That’s a ton of experience
Henry:
My background is all about technology. I’ve work on AI and move to blockchain for 5 years. I was chief architect of many blockchain platform projects, including one for Singapore government
Beetle:
Five years of work experience isn’t less 💪
Alright! My next question is about Uniworld. What is Uniworld and what is the vision of Uniworld?
Joey Bertschler:
UniWorld started quite a while ago during the early Ethereum days. We wanted to solve the scalability, interoperability and regulatory issues with e.g. the ERC20 protocol and Blockchains in general. Because we didn’t want to raise any money before we had an actual product, we skipped the 2017 ICO wave and focused on R&D using the revenue we make from our bot solutions. Now we are at the mainnet stage and our products, though rough, are ready for the users.
In other words
We (UniWorld.io) are an ecosystem based tech syndicate. In other words, we offer many different products and services ranging from chat bots to our blockchain platform. You can also outsource your tasks to our vetted team! We don’t waste your time with whitepapers and empty emails — we go straight for a prototype/MVP, because we want you to judge and value us based on our performance and quality.
While other BC projects are normally focused on one specific application (which they don’t really serve either), Uni takes a truly cosmopolitan approach. We have offices and employees all over the world all of which work remotely and are constantly tested for their skills — no slackers allowed!
We have the experience and capability to launch many products simoultaneously also thanks to our valuable long-term partnerships with software and design veterans. From blockchain to UX, Solidity to C+: we got you covered.
The world is big, but true innovation requires a bold approach.
Fun fact: it took over 3800 years for anyone to build something larger than the pyramids and electric cars have been around since the 1800s! No more stagnation, it’s time to embrace technology!
That is the way of Uni.
Beetle:
Amazing 👌
We’ll now move towards the Twitter Round of Questions. We’ve selected three questions from twitter for you to answer.
Here’s the beginner….
The two main flagships of UniWorld are UniBot & Blockchain itself called UniChain, can you explain what UniBot is, what types of protocols & TPS is UniChain achieved & how does this solution intertwine with UniMe?
https://twitter.com/MiyukiMikoto/status/1298190464206565382?s=19
Joey Bertschler:
UniMe is a mobile app to use all of Uni’s services and acts like a swiss army knife version of Telegram
The chatbots, integrated into UniMe and other Uni services, can easily be customized to do all kinds of things e.g. hold conversations with customers or become game figures
UniChain.World is the blockchain Uni has developed over the last couple years. Here are the technical details (to give something more tangible)
UniChain:
Cryptography algorithms: SHA256, SHA512, Keccak256, Keccak512, Elliptic Curve Digital Signature (EDCA).
Private keys on UniChain: 256 bit long (64 hex characters) and start with the letter U
Consensus algorithms: DPoS-Hotstuff
Active witness nodes: 33, alternative witness nodes: 22 (55 in total)
Total UNW supply (fixed): 1.000.000.000 (In words: one billion)
Block time: 1–3 seconds
Smart contract language: Solidity (compatible with Ethereum)
Inflation rate < 1% per year (may be zero or go negative, depending on transactions in the network)
UniChain’s mainnet (version 1.0) launched on 04 June 2020.
UniChain’s official website: unichain.world
It achieves 1 million transactions per second combining DPoS and HotStuff
Here are some resources on how those work:
What is DPoS — Binance Academy (3min)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVKAOwzAwHI
HotStuff — Cornell University (Paper)
https://arxiv.org/abs/1803.05069
And here is the WP

Beetle:
I’m truly amazed to see the amount of developments done by Uniworld. 👏👏
While we move on the next question, Dear Community do not forget to join Uniworld.io on telegram and follow them on twitter 🤟
What plans do you have for community expansions? Do you have any remarkable partnerships in Crypto Space? You’ll agree that partnerships helps to sustain a project in long run.
https://twitter.com/Parth13729754/status/1298120725379739648?s=19
Joey Bertschler:
Gradually expand in every market. Here is a screenshot of some of our logos
We list everywhere, install management bodies and release our products on a global scale. The entire planet is the roadmap so to speak
We consider all partnerships, but we close them as soon as they open if necessary. No nonesense relations!
Beetle:
Uniworld is well expanded in all communities 👌.
Truely said!
The third and the last question of this round is :
What is the uniqueness of Uniworld that cannot be found in other project. that’s been released so far? And how the demand of $Uniworld token will increase in the future? or what steps would you take to increase the demand?
https://twitter.com/BellaSi11384490/status/1298188368820330496?s=19
Joey Bertschler:
That is the exact same question I was asked in another AMA with the exact same writing. Bot?
Beetle:
May be he copied it. We’ll that’s unacceptable and we’ll disqualify him.
Joey Bertschler:
UniWorld.io has simply better products. This might sound bonanza, but it’s true. To answer the question for anyone interested: UniChain.World for example can handle 1 million transactions per second without a big tradeoff. That’s record high.
To keep on about the example of UniChain.World, here are the technical details for reference:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5255376.msg54613832#msg54613832
Beetle:
One million is ⚡️
Joey Bertschler:
It’s necessary for true adoption to have systems that can actually handle many users for both crypto and other use-cases/dapps
Beetle:
True! Infrastructure is the backbone.
Thank you for prompt answers Mr Joey. Now we’ll move to the community round. I’ll open chat for 60 Sec to collect questions.
Unmuting group in a moment!
(Group was unmuted to accept questions from the community.)
Beetle:
Muted!
That’s a ton load of questions
@joey_jaz @henry_ngv Take your time to Select some quality questions
V.K:
What are Uniworld’s core product (UniChain.World, UniBot and UniMe) and what they mainly featured for? What’s its main function and how does it role ?
Do you plan to list DEX platform or CEX exchange first ?Which object, customers and market #UNIWOWORLD aims to serve currently and in the near future ? How do you assess the Indonesian market?
Joey Bertschler:
Regarding the listing: We want to eventually list on all major exchanges, but depending on the performance we might be a bit more exclusive later on. For now, any exchange is a possibility including DEX and Cex
For links & our products, here is a handy list:

✿ 𝙟𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙡❤ | Satoshi Club:
UniWorld teams are doing AMAs left and right in different Telegram groups. So by this event of yours, what is the impact to this in your platform? What is the good result and positive effects?
@joey_jaz
Joey Bertschler:
The AMAs are more of a feedback/test thing. We want to hear what people think and gain a little exposure for stress test systematic reasons so to speak
Rapta rabbu:
What are your plans for the nearest year in terms of marketing and business development? How do you plan to expand the network, community, partnerships, etc? What’s your vector?
Joey Bertschler:
Improve the product, spread the community and more improvement sprinkled on top! Not really much marketing, only good content and upgrades
Rembrandt:
🔔 How does UniChain solve the scalability, security and interoperability issues?
Joey Bertschler:
With a DPoS and HotStuff hybrid, details in the bitcointalk forum link above or in our whitepaper here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qxP3x7u0Bq68dHfRYvJsGX8_jr14tZlhuTsaGzpeOpA/edit?usp=sharing
Hendra sico™:
Explain more about Unichain Blockchain, how does it solve the problem of scalability, security and interoperability? Why do you need your own blockchain instead of building on existing chains?
Using DPOS and HotStuff Consensus, what exactly advantage does this add to the Unichain Blockchain, how friendly for developers ?
Henry:
- Please check out UniChainwhite paper for more technical details, But in general the scalability, security and interoperability are solved by the consensus algorithm and the multi-chain architecture.
- We realized that most of existing blockchain does not meet our requirement, and We have an ecosystem, not only one product, We can not rely on any other platform
- DPOST + Hotstuff is the combination consensus algorithm. You can imagine It’s the combination the advantage of EOS and Facebook Libra
Hermawan | Trader✓:
What is the biggest challenge you face currently in terms of becoming a successful project or company ?
Henry:
We try to bring the technology value to real life application. But many people misunderstand. Crypto currency is just one of the application build on top of blockchain technology and many gone through the scam projects.
Bitcoin:
Chat apps have become an essential part of our everyday lives. And there are so many chat apps are already available in market like iMassage , telegram, whatsapp etc, SO How UNIME is diffrent from them?
Joey Bertschler:
To make the answer simple: It’s like Telegram but more secure + wallet + better bots + more functions coming + no data is stored, none
Chris Luna:
Some detractors of the DPoS model argue that this protocol promotes centralization — how do they achieve a balance/relationship between the number of block producers and the scalability of the network, to counter this?
Henry:
It’s totally decentralized. Community will control the network by their votes. It’s more decentralized than other POS/PoW platform, even with Bitcoin where the power is control by around 10 mining pools in the world (in my humble opinion :))
CuteNekoZ:
We often hear that some cryptocurrency platforms experience data theft and abuse by hackers, talking about the quality of the UNW’s security. How confident UNW to solve this issue?
Joey Bertschler:
Uni products are as secure as they can be — but that doesn’t mean Uni can do anything if you set your password to 123 and get hacked (simplyfied example)
In terms of cost: Uni has only now started to raise funding to scale and was so far completely self funded. It’s burnway is thus non-existent and products are already finished rather than funds being asked to produce them
Chris Luna:
Some detractors of the DPoS model argue that this protocol promotes centralization — how do they achieve a balance/relationship between the number of block producers and the scalability of the network, to counter this?
Joey Bertschler:
We use shifted and weighted witness nodes for that. Also one of the reasons it’s DPoS PLUS HotStuff rather than just the former. Very good question though! For details on how it works:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qxP3x7u0Bq68dHfRYvJsGX8_jr14tZlhuTsaGzpeOpA/edit?usp=sharing
Dinesh Kartik:
You currently aim to sell up to 30% of the total supply of UNW to the public and the remaining quantity is locked and the utilization shall be decided by the community through UniChain’s voting mechanism. How will the voting process be?
Joey Bertschler:
Direct democrazy though there will be some serious additional verification to ensure legitimacy of votes
CuteNekoZ:
Sharding, layered, and cross-chain are the three future solutions for high-performance blockchains. UNW is currently at which direction? And what are the main reasons for taking this direction?
Henry:
Our platform is based on multi-chain architecture which has some similar features with Sharding. The approaches you memtioned above were implement in some platform but It does not reach our target.
Fadang INA:
How do you attract investors to be interested in those Uni Coin? Because some investors focus on short-term prices rather than long-term ones?
Joey Bertschler:
We genuenly don’t really try to get investors. Not really. All about users.
Ross:
🌍UniWorld’s ecosystem is designed for the Society 5.0. What is that society, what it represents?
Joey Bertschler:
It’s a coined term. Stands for IoT & AI embracing society. 1.0 was hunter-gatherer
Here is an article on that
Karla Herrera Pulido:
Among your social responsibility programs to improve education, do you plan to incorporate face-to-face projects or will it all be through digital media?
Joey Bertschler:
Definately both. Covid messed up a lot of our plans. Not an excuse — we had some speaking engagements planned for example but the events got cancelled by others. A lot of things changed. Not much we could have done but definately on our to-do list nontheless. Just going to be different now
With that I’ll give the word to Henry, great AMA!
Beetle:
Thanks a lot 😊👌
A fé vai te levar longe 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷:
There is a protocol used by UniWorld that has caught my attention
How does the TextSecure protocol work within the UniWorld ecosystem and how essential is it to generate good performance in your products?
Henry:
The TextSecure protocol is implement in UniMe.
UniMe is a secure chat app but We plan to put wallet and other Uniworld features inside It. End-users can use UniMe to interact with all UniWorld ecosystem.
The TextSecure protocol mostly related to cryptography algorithm that performed on client side. To solve the performance problems, We use the Microservice architecture so that We can horizontally scale to unlimited servers. Our stress test show that UniMe can serve for ten of millions users.
Beetle:
Thank you for your efforts @joey_jaz @henry_ngv. It’s practically impossible to answer every question but you all tried very well to cover the questions.
We whole as a community wish you a very good luck ahead with your amazing project which has already done so much in terms of development. 👍😊
This marks the end of our today’s session. Really Amazing Session! And as to remind, do not forget to join telegram community of Uniworld.io
