cgminer 3.7.2 GPU mining Litecoin (LTC) at Multipool.us

Here is something old but gold — cgminer 3.7.2 back from the days where Litecoin (LTC) was the coin to mine with video cards as Bitcoin (BTC) was starting to move into the domain of some of the earliest ASIC miners. Cgminer was the most popular mining software and people were using their AMD Radeon HD 7950 and HD 7970 as well as AMD Radeon R9 280 and R9 290 GPUs for mining the Scrypt algorithm that Litecoin introduced and started the altcoin revolution. DogeCoin (DOGE) was also born back then and nowadays both early Scrypt-based crypto coins are mostly merge mined together with dedicated Scrypt ASIC miners. Nvidia CUDA GPU owners back at that time were using the CUDAminer Scrypt mining software for mining these crypto coins before they moved to ASIC mining.

Although there is no point in mining crypto coins with the Scrypt algorithm using video cards, people still do seem to be interested in cgminer 3.7.2. Back in the time of LTC and DOGE this was the last official version of cgminer to support GPU mining, the later releases switched to supporting SHA-256 ASIC miners for Bitcoins only and the original author of the software has for some reason removed versions earlier than 4.0. So, if you need to download cgminer 3.7.2 for Windows you can do so from the link below, do note it is a RAR archive, so make sure your archiver supports the RAR…
