Using MSI Afterburner for Optimizing GPU Settings

After playing around with a number of Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series of GPUs it is easier to compile a list with the optimized mining settings for mining Ethereum on RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070, RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 video cards to help you get started. Some variations from card to card are possible due to manufacturers having higher TDP levels or higher default clocks on some models, but generally the settings should work pretty well on any make and model from the RTX 30 series that are suitable for mining. Unfortunately, the GeForce RTX 3060 to be released tomorrow is not great for mining due to artificial hashrate limitation from Nvidia, so no settings for that one yet.

Additional tweaking could help in maximizing performance or optimizing power usage for a specific card even further, but the settings quoted here should be a very good starting point for achieving optimal performance at reduced power usage when using them for mining Ethereum (ETH). Do note that the settings below are intended for Ethereum mining and/or other memory intensive crypto algorithms such as VertHash used by VTC, the settings are most likely not optimal for mining a crypto coin that relies on a GPU-intensive algorithm! For such you may need to stay at stock memory frequency or even downclock it and focus…
