TeamRedMiner 0.8.0 AMD GPU Ethash Miner With Improved Performance
Team Red Miner (TRM) is a performance optimized cryptocurrency miner for AMD GPUs with support for a number of algorithms with the newest major version 0.8.0 bringing rewritten Ethash kernels and new mining modes for the supported types. This should result in you getting better mining hashrate with a bit lower power usage for the more recent AMD Radeon video cards or with other words improved efficiency. The TeamRedMiner should behave similarly to other AMD Ethash miners, but the key difference here is the additional mining modes (B/C-modes) it supports that use additional video memory on the GPUs for further beneficial effects. Do note however that the new B/C-modes require you to have have driver support for large allocations, meaning amdgpu-pro >= 20.30 or Adrenalin >= 20.9.1.
Key highlights of the Team Red Miner release:
- Polaris: Efficiency and slight hashrate increase. B-mode reintroduced for added hash. B-mode must be enabled with — eth_aggr_mode or — eth_config=Bxxx.
