How I hacked my Verizon bill to $5 a month.
Every good hack starts with good recon. As Ryan Reynolds once said as Van Wilder, “Write That down”. New apps, tech and services are sprouting daily, and if you aren’t constantly looking out, you will pay the price. Such is the case with the new phone service Visible.
Visible is a new kind of cell phone service summoned from the cell phone gods to end the sin and corruption of overpriced and gluttonous contract plans that have plagued this earth for nearly two decades. It’s a prepaid plan — so there are no contracts, there’s also no throttled or capped data, minutes or texts either — everything's truly truly unlimited….truly. Visible is owned by Verizon, so you get to take advantage of the same 4G LTE coverage and Nationwide Network they boast so much about on their what-seems-like-forever commercials. There are no credit checks, because there is no need to finance a phone, unless you want to… with you know, OTHER finance options such as Affirm. It does however come with a Caveat:
- While the Mobile HotSpot is Unlimited, they cap the speed of the hotspot at 5mps…but it never throttles to unusable speeds, that is still easy streamin data my friends. If I can play Overwatch on my switch with it, I am sure you can watch the Mandalorian on Disney+ if that’s your jam….because it’s my jam, and not the kind between Kathleen Kennedy’s feet either if ya can pick up what i’m throwing down, or up.
- During heavy network congestion Verizon contract customers will get priority over the Visible customers, I haven’t experienced any service issues or performance downgrades since switching myself but hey, everyone's experience may be different. If Verizon’s network is as good as they boost everyone should feast…am-i-right-doe?
Every month my bill with Verizon was over $270 with two phones on a family plan, I have the Pixel 3XL and my Basic GF has the IPhone XS Max. I hate getting fleeced by corporations just as much as the next guy and the anon in me was dying a little bit inside everyday.
This is what I pay per phone now:
See that blue smiley face? That’s an actual selfie I took after figuring out how to get the same Verizon LTE Service for just $5 a month and it’s not hard, anyone can do it.
You see, Visible offers you a $20 bill credit for everyone you refer, and while you may immediately think that’s a difficult feat to accomplish then you really haven’t harvested the true power of social media for your own dirty benefits. Another fun little thing Veriz…I mean Visible is offering to redeem their way into heaven is a new program called “Party Pay”. Party Pay is truly most excellent. Anyone can join your party, they can’t see your bill or have access to any of your personal information, and everyone gets a $5 discount for “teaming up” including yourself, a max party of four. That’s another $15 off your bill — no taxes, fee’s or uncool surcharges. That brings the final amount to — $5.
There are two ways to accomplish this:
- https://www.reddit.com/r/Visible/ — Go on Reddit, post your referral codes and find a party to join.
- Share your referral link on social media outlets, Twitter, Facebook, Quora, Instagram etc. Once they realize how much money they can save it’s a no brainier and the referrals will start pouring in.
Sure, there are other good prepaid phone providers out there — but for $5 you can’t beat it, and that’s how I hacked my Verizon bill down to $5 a month. Hope this works for you and you can take advantage of this deal while it lasts.

Editors Update: I recently found out that Visible replaced the Referral Codes WITH Party pay. So your maximum discount would be $25 per phone, no taxes or fees, which is still great. Just go on Reddit and find a party to join.
