10% of BTC left to mine

On Monday, December 13th, the 90% of Bitcoin was mined. More precisely 18.899 million of tokens is now in circulation and only 2.1 million is left to mine. This happened one and a half year after last halving of Bitcoin.

As I mentioned there are still some tokens left to mine. But while those 90% took 12 years to mine, the rest will be mined in much longer time. If we would talk about last Bitcoin that will be mined, we are talking about approximately 40 years for its mining due to cuts in production every 4 years and also thanks to that the mining process will be completed in 119 years from now.

Vodafone to auction world’s first SMS

29 years ago, on December 3rd, 1992, the first SMS (Short Message Service) was sent. It said “Merry Christmas” and it was received by Richard Jarvis, who was an employee at the time. Now, this SMS will be auctioned as an NFT (a non-fungible token) which will happen in the Aguttes Auction House in France on the Dec. 21. The participants will be connected online and they will be placing bids by using Ethereum (ETH). The money that will be raised by this auction will go to help the displaced refugees across the globe.

Adidas and its NFT collection

The sportswear giant and iconic brand Adidas has partnered up with some of the biggest names on the NFT market with plans around NFT collections. This partnership includes Bored Ape Yacht Club, GMoney and PUNKS Comics. Adidas originals has announced that they will launch their collection titled Into the Metaverse. The sale of collection will start on the company’s official website on December 17 and the price will stand at 0.2 ETH, which is equivalent to approximately $810.
