Dear all,

Thank you for your time. The discussions have moved forward each round helping me see different aspects and develop the idea further. I hope you also found answers to your questions and understand PSMTP better.

I remembered the question I asked my Molecular Biology professor:

“If mutations are harmful, how can they help evolution through natural selection?”

“Thank you for asking this question, Ersin. Keep in mind that the environment is evolving as well. A feature that does not fit the current environment can fit the future environment as long as it can survive the hostile environment. The bad genes of the past may become the good genes of the future and vice-versa.”

I think this explains why good ideas of the technology history were considered bad when they were first offered until they become successful. They become good ideas and succeed when the environment changes accordingly. Adaptation is a double-arrow.

If you think about PSMTP again, try to imagine the new environment of the near future rather than the present and the past. You may think about the impact of Cryptocurrency, end-point TEE, DANE etc. on the environment. Judging PSMTP becomes fun and fruitful when you do so.

Best regards,

Ersin
