Announcing “The Crypto OG Show” — 1st Episode Wednesday 3/25 at 4pm EST
We launched CryptoZtv (Z for Zoom) with the goal of building a 24x7 “tv” channel broadcasting live decentralized crypto content for the global crypto community by the global crypto community.
Today, Wednesday, March 25, at1pm est, is the first episode of “The Crypto OG Show” featuring a Fireside Chat with Crypto OG Mike Evron, Co-Host of the CryptoMondays L.A. Meetup group.
Mike’s a true crypto OG, as he’s been working with digital money before Bitcoin even existed. Mike’s was one of the two people who operated The Farmers Market, an online black market for illegal drugs. Founded in 2006, The Farmers Market moved to the dark web in 2010 using the Tor anonymity network. According to Wikipedia’s page on The Framers Market, “By 2012, about $2.5 million had been transferred through the site in total”. It all came to a screeching halt in April 2012 when 15 people associated with the site, including Mike (who was in Buenos Aries at the time), we’re arrested as a part of Operation Adam Bomb, a two-year investigation led by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
We’ll discuss Mike’s Farmers Market journey, including his time spent outside the U.S., his arrest in Buenos Aries, his travels on Con Air, and his five years in prison.
We’ll also spend time discussing Mike’s views on crypto today, the projects he’s excited about, and how he’s spending his time.
We’ll have plenty of time for questions from the audience. Just click on this Zoom link at 4pm est on March 25th and enjoy the show!
