Introducing JustStable — A Web3 Discussion Space For All Things Stablecoin
We started “Stablecoins Are Killing It “ in April, when stablecoin market cap was just $8 billion (vs. $15B+ today), to provide a forum for stablecoin discussion. In our 11 episodes to date, our panelists have included degens from different parts of the stablecoin ecosystem including stablecoin projects (Maker, MetaCoin/RAI, USDC/Circle…); stablecoin service providers (Centrifuge, Gilded, Bank Frick ….), analysts/data providers covering stablecoins (Messari, Flipside Crypto, The TIE…), and academics researching the stablecoin ecosystem (University of Warwick, Bucerius Law School). The ecosystem is diverse, global, and growing!
But discussing stablecoins once a week isn’t enough. While there are other forums, like Discord and Telegram, where great stablecoin discussions take place, many (including myself) find those platforms hard to optimize/noisy. So we decided to leverage a new Web3 platform, deWeb, to host our stablecoin discussion boards at JustStable.
JustStable is free to read, post, interact and be part of the JustStable community. We seeded the community with a few message boards to start (e.g. Reserve Protocol, China’s CBDC, JustSable). And anyone is free to start new message boards on any stablecoin related topic.
Each post has a banner at the top that you can bid on, and the highest bidder can write the message in the banner and insert a link. Obviously, the system uses stablecoins (Bancor’s USDB) behind the scenes to make it all work. If someone out-bids you, you get back your bid plus 10%. If you make a post that generates bids, you earn 1/3 of the top bid.
For the first few hundred people who post, I’ll be sending you some money so you can try it out. Simply tweet with #juststable and a link to your post and I’ll send you a bit of money within 48 hours so you can play around and enjoy the gamification.
