Below is A replay of the call:

On October 31st, the crypto community will celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the publication of Satoshi Nakamoto’s white paper Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System based on a proof-of-work consensus mechanism, a system invented in 1993. Since that time, other consensus mechanisms like Proof-of-Stake, Delegated Proof of Stake, and DAGS, have been utilized by other cryptocurrencies. New consensus mechanism like Proof of Space & Time continue to emerge.

We’re encouraged by all the activity addressing what is, arguably, the biggest challenge faced by crypto. But how much real progress has there been on governance and consensus since the bitcoin network came in to existence with the mining of the genesis block on January 3rd, 2009? What have we learned from the various blockchains or DAGs that are now live? What are the most interesting “improvements” in the works for current mechanisms, and what new mechanisms are emerging that are drawing the most interest? What is the impact on existing cryptocurrencies as consensus mechanisms continue to evolve and improve?

As this topic is both incredibly intriguing and complex, we’re excited to have four “experts” on the call, each with significant experience thinking about, and participating in, various consensus mechanisms. After the panelists formal remarks, we’ll have plenty of time for questions from the audience.
