Cassini — Cronos Incentivised Testnet Competition Terms and Conditions (“Terms” ) is available at https://cronos.crypto.org/Cassini_terms_and_conditions.pdf

Any defined terms used in these Office Rules will have the same meanings as those provided in the Terms unless otherwise provided.

All currencies in these Official Rules, unless otherwise specified, are in US dollars.

Competition Period

Cassini — Cronos Incentivised Testnet begins on 5 Oct 2021, at 04:00 UTC and ends on 18 Oct 2021, at 03:59 UTC.

Participant Roles

Builder

  • Responsible for deploying smart contracts and dApps to the Incentivised Testnet and encourage Testers to test with it;
  • Builder is automatically enrolled as a Tester; and
  • The Builder Registration Period begins when registration opens on 28 September 2021, 08:30 UTC to 11 October 2021, 03:59 UTC.

Tester

  • Responsible for sending transactions and interacting with smart contracts on the Incentivised Testnet; and
  • The Tester Registration Period begins when registration opens on 28 September 2021, 08:30 UTC to 11 October 2021, 03:59 UTC.

Maximum Number of Participants

Builder: 200
Tester: No limit

The Cassini Incentivised Testnet Competition is divided into 3 Phases

Phase 0: Registration Period and Preparation

  • Dates: 28 September 2021, 08:30 UTC to 5 October 2021, 03:59 UTC
  • The Builder and Tester Registration Period begins when registration opens on 28 September 2021, 08:30 UTC to 11 October 2021, 03:59 UTC;
  • Interested members of the public may apply or register to participate in the Cassini competition;
  • To register as a Builder, you are required to deploy a smart contract to the latest Cronos Testnet and provides the smart contract address in the registration form;
  • Successful applicants will be listed on the Cassini GitHub repository https://github.com/crypto-org-chain/cassini (“Cassini GitHub Repository”);
  • Applicants can test the commands and setup by joining our existing Cronos testnet;
  • No CRO Rewards whatsoever are offered or given in Phase 0; and
  • Crypto.org reserves the right to change the Registration Period without prior notice

Phase 1: Competition Begins

  • Dates: 5 October 2021, 04:00 UTC to 11 October 2021, 03:59 UTC
  • Incentivised testnet will be launched;
  • The Builder and Tester Registration Period continues and ends on 11 October 2021, 03:59 UTC;
  • Participants who are able to complete the tasks (as defined below) during this Phase may be awarded with CRO Rewards

Phase 2: Network Attack and Bugs Finding

  • Dates: 11 October 2021, 04:00 UTC to 18 October 2021, 03:59 UTC
  • Participants are encouraged to launch attacks, as permitted by these Official Rules and Terms, during this Phase;
  • Participants who are able to complete the tasks (as defined below) during this Phase may be awarded with CRO Rewards

Primary Address

  • Primary address is a wallet account address owned by the Participant; and
  • Participants must use this address to complete some of the tasks as specified in the task details below or else the participation and completion of those tasks would not be counted.
  • The latest Primary Address information of each Participant are listed on the Cassini GitHub repository https://github.com/crypto-org-chain/cassini (“Cassini GitHub Repository”);
  • The judgement of completion and/or ranking of tasks of each Participant will be determined by the information listed on Cassini GitHub Repository;
  • It is Participant responsibility to keep the private key of the Primary Address at a safe place and make sure the Primary Address is accessible until any eligible CRO Rewards have been distributed and claimed;
  • It is Participant responsibility to keep the private keys make sure you can access the Primary Address in a safe place and make sure;
  • Under no circumstances will the Company be responsible for any impact, including but not limited to the disqualification in the competition, caused by the inaccuracy of the Participant information on the Cassini GitHub Repository;

Testnet CRO Faucet

  • Participants can request testnet CRO token for use in Cronos Incentivised Testnet after the competition begins;
  • The URL to the faucet will be available in this blog post and Cassini GitHub Repository;
  • Each address can request 10 testnet CRO token every day; and
  • The testnet CRO token can be used to send transactions and deploy smart contracts to the Incentivised Testnet.

  • Builder is automatically enrolled as a Tester;
  • Builder can complete the Builder Tasks specified above as well as Tester Tasks specified below and will be eligible to the rewards of all the tasks.

CRO Reward Conditions

  • Any and all CRO Rewards will be subject to a lock up period of 1 year, during which the CRO Rewards may not be used for any purpose except for staking in the Crypto.com ecosystem during the 1 year period.
  • Crypto.com makes no promise, representation or warranty as to the monetary value of any CRO Reward.
  • The CRO Reward amount will be determined by the CRO to USD rate before the CRO Rewards is distributed and will be updated in this blog post.
  • For further details, please refer to section 9 of the Terms.
