Greetings, Commanders! Here we’ll give a brief overview of some of the initial ship classes and the 3 main ship manufacturers you’ll find in the CSC EtherVerse.

Ship Classes

The first of our starships is the Scout, a shuttle-sized flyer with very limited module slots. Scouts are mostly beginner level ships to help commanders get started with exploring the CSC universe. They’re the smallest vessels with the smallest capacity, though their size does allow them a decent amount of maneuverability. Most commanders starting with a Scout should consider upgrading before too long.

Shuttle Class

Next up, the Intrepid. These run slightly larger than the Scout, though are still classified as a small starship. Like the Scout, Intrepid class ships only have a handful of module slots available, but can still hold their own in the CSC verse. Intrepids are the most commonly available and are consequently quite affordable — the perfect entry level ship for casual commanders and first-timers.

Corsairs have a moderate amount of module slots as the middle child of our starships. They’re a natural upgrade from Intrepid class starships and benefit from an increased module and hardpoint count as well as an increase in power. Most commanders would be wise to try and obtain one of these.

Corsair Class

One of CSC’s heavier hitters is the Prometheus class starship. As the second largest ship class currently available, the Prometheus bears a hefty amount of module slots. Prometheus ships are slower than their smaller counterparts, but they’re also incredibly powerful. As such, these starships are quite expensive to build. Still, with more than double the module slots of the closest comparable class and the added power to boot, obtaining a Prometheus will be well worth the effort.

Finally, we have the mighty Dreadnaught. These capital starships can have more than 300 module slots and are the most powerful ships in CSC EtherVerse. They’re the crown jewel of vessels and consequently, the most expensive to build. The crafting costs of a Dreadnaught are astronomical, but so are the rewards.

Ship Manufacturers

You’ll also find 3 main starship manufacturers at the launch of CSC: Phoenix, Reaper, and Vulcan. As the game progresses, other manufacturers may enter the fold, including those from different alien races, should they feel so inclined to share their tech with the Galactic Federation commanders.

Phoenix ships are built with style and sleekness in mind. They excel in the latest speed and maneuverability tech, and with this in mind, won’t sully themselves with lesser status jobs like transporting and mining. However, entrepreneurs can be seen retrofitting Phoenix vessels to take advantage of the rate at which they can complete these tasks.

Ships built by Reaper are nothing less than weapons of war. These starships excel in offensive power and share an aggressive style and stance, attempting to instill fear into any and all hostile vessels. Some Reapers have been seen converted to mining ships as a means to help defend against pirate raids and ambushes.

For industrial tasks, look no further than Vulcan. This manufacturer adamantly sticks to the idea that form follows function. Vulcan ships are not fancy and aren’t the most destructive ships in the CSC verse. Instead, they’re durable and can withstand the cruel brutality of space. You’ll mostly find Vulcan ships used for mining and transportation, though, due to their durability and resistance, some can be retrofitted for battle.
