ACT 6: The Ice Islands

Synopsis

After the long journey into salvaging the east coast, the heroes reached a harbor and a fisherman who told a story about the icy cold world on the other side of the sea. One day, he had to abandon his own vessel to save himself from the frostbite and piercing wind chills. He said he lost all his townsfolks in a single day when they froze to death in the middle of the icy ocean.

Believe it or not, he said he descried a gigantic ice dragon who can freeze everything with his single breath. A dragon who is covered with countless shards of ice plates as sharp as a flamberge. The dragon he referred to as the ‘Crystal dragon’, looked just like a mix bleed of a dragon and a werewolf. He said he fleed without even turning back in order to survive and recalled the day as the worst nightmare in his life.

He said the dragon lately frequented the bay area and froze and kill any creature that breathes. At the end of the day, the dirge and ghost of the dead seamen haunt the bay, leaving behind the poor old fisherman alone at the tip of a frosty breakwater.

Ice island is located in the northeast corner of the world map.

The isthmus which divides the inland to the island is now bridged with thick and hard icebergs, giving ways to ferocious creatures hiding in the ice islands for eternities to cross the ocean. These monsters are known to be the most powerful using water elements.

Reckoning that the invasion is imminent, the house of mankind approved the preemptive strike against the ice island and to save the town from the threat of these ruthless monsters from the frosted island.
