Crypto King: Hello everyone , we are back again with yet another round of AMA session with a rock solid project called #Defactor.

Today, we have Patty Fisher and James Tolan representing #Defactor. Patty works as Marketing Lead and James is employed as the Community Manager @Defactor . Let us together welcome the team. Great to have you guys here on our platform Patty and James. Welcome to S*Y*Z*Y*G*Y.

James: Hello everyone.

P Fisher: Hi all! Thank you for having us today.

Crypto King: Great to e-meet you guys. Well let’s begin with the AMA session. How about giving a brief intro about you. Your journey in the Crypto space and your experience :)

James: Patty you can start!

P Fisher: Sure, I joined Defactor in Jan of this year but have been in the space for almost 3 years. I’ve worked in tech and payments for 15+ years.

James: I joined Defactor in September last year, around the TGE, but I’ve had an interest in the space for over a year now. I started as an operations intern and I’ve recently been appointed community manager, so I hope to see you all in the Defactor community later.

Crypto King: Awesome, thanks for that brief intro. Let us move on and talk about Defactor now. I am sure communtiy is waiting to hear more from you guys regarding the project. Let us begin.

Here goes the first one.

Q1. Can you briefly describe #Defactor? What are you trying to do and solve in the Crypto sector?

James: I’ll go first this time.

Crypto King: Sure, shoot.

James: Defactor is the bridge that brings traditional businesses to the world of DeFi. The platform allows companies seeking finance to tokenize their assets and use them as collateral to obtain funding from DeFi liquidity pools.

To put it simply, we are helping small businesses receive funding backed off their assets to grow and develop their businesses.

At a macro level we’re giving businesses an alternative to traditional finance, we’re helping nurture new business models that have sprung up from the growth of DeFi and at a micro level we’re building the tools that mean that real world assets can be deployed into DeFi liquidity pools at scale.

Crypto King: Awesome! So here is the next one.

Q2. What makes Defactor special? What features are available within the Defactor ecosystem?

P Fisher: I can take that one!

Crypto King: Sure please go ahead.

P Fisher: The real-world asset space is DeFi is young. It represents a small, but expected to explode in the coming years as mainstream businesses start tapping into DeFi liquidity.

The Defactor team’s experience and network is what will set us apart. Two of our co-founders, Erenesto and Alejandro, were some of the very first people to extract funds from DeFi liquidity on Centrifuge. Alejandro and Ernesto have experienced and understand the difficulty of accessing DeFi liquidity. From these experiences they’ve set out to create a smooth and seamless funding process for traditional businesses, which will accelerate the onboarding process of real-world assets to DeFi.

We are working the indsutries most trusted partners, have an experienced team coming from tech, finance and crypto worlds — all looking to solve real-world problems.

Crypto King: Thanks Patty for answering that. Quite a detailed reply. Great, here comes my 3rd question.

Q3. Could you briefly share the roadmap of Defactor?

P Fisher: I can take that one too!

Our focus at the moment is completing the on-boarding of our asset originator from our Springpad program. The team is hard at work hooking everything together with the aim to scale the program as we get increased interest.

We also continue to work with our ecosystem partners like Centrifuge, Algorand, and others. We will looking to continue scaling the platform and investing in building the brand.

Crypto King: Great, my 4th question for you comes next.

Q4. What exchanges (cex or dex) are you targeting for #Defactor?

James: I got this , Currently, the $FACTR token can be bought on Uniswap and PancakeSwap. We have plans to get on a CEX, but we have no hard commitments yet.

If you follow us on Twitter and join the Telegram group you can keep up to date with any announcements we make regarding this!

Crypto King: Great, let us move on to the next round and take up some really good #Twitter questions….

Twitter Q & A Round

Q1. I understand that the $FACTR token’s goal is to manage the Defactor ecosystem and incentivize positive acts by members of your ecosystem such as holders, validators, and asset developers; what “positive activities” do you want to incentivize? @00drchirpiga

James: I’ll let Patty take this.

P Fisher: Sure thing! Positive acts is a broad term that encapsulates many aspects, but the common denominator is that every activity adds value to the ecosystem. Good examples of the type of activities include, liquidity providing for asset origination deals and ambassadors locating and facilitating asset origination deals to be rewarded. We believe as the ecosystem develops, there will be new opportunities available for us to reward positive actors.

Q2. What advantages does Defactor have to become the world leader in decentralized financing? What allows you to obtain so much liquidity to constantly finance large and small companies? What allows you to finance companies around the world to support them in their economic growth? @riyaaktero

James: Okay, my turn , Defactor is a platform that is bridging the gap between traditional finance and DeFi. The platform allows companies seeking finance to tokenize their assets and obtain funding from DeFi liquidity pools. One of the main reasons that anyone would provide liquidity to these pools is for the stable yield that real-world assets can bring.

The cryptospace is extremely volatile and it is not welcoming for those with a low-risk appetite. Liquidity pools backed by real world assets can generate a stable yield uncorrelated to the cryptomarket. Institutions with an interest in this yield will allow us to obtain liquidity.

On top of that, the in depth experience our team has in trade finance, logistics and blockchain is another huge advantage for Defactor!

Crypto King: Here is the 3rd one from #Twitter

Q3. I see that Defactor will do due diligence on the asset creators themselves and their practices thanks to asset tokenization and flow to pool regulation. But how do you maintain a proper funding history and ensure restrictions are adhered to?And are you interested in the NFT plan? @benjamiod

P Fisher: ok, I can take that.

Crypto King: Yup please.

P Fisher: One of the greatest benefits of the blockchain is that all of the funding history will be on-chain. It is the reason why bringing real-world assets on-chain makes sense. It strengthens our value proposition, everything on the blockchain is public and transparent.

In the future as more and more assets are funded on-chain, there will be an easily accessible credit history for each individual asset originator, which will become a vital component for future risk assessment framework.

James: We don’t do a calculation on every single asset. We complete due diligence on the asset originators, how they conduct risk assessment and their practices to mitigate risk.

Crypto King: Well, here comes the last pick from the #Twitter.

After this we will open the forum for Community Live Q&A session

Q4. A credit assessment risk score is used by Defactor to estimate the amount of financing available for an asset. But how is this risk rating derived, and what are the factors that distinguish the supplier concentration limit from the debtor’s consensus limit? @selvachirpiga

James: Risk rating is derived by looking at a number of different factors, including, but not limited to country of incorporation, historical track record: level of defaults, liquidations etc. We take our KYC / DD seriously to understand the risk profile of our AOs and the implications it has for us. This is a constant work in progress and is something we will iterate over the coming months as we look at onboarding more AOs.

For now, the supplier concentration limit is not something we need to worry about, as we don’t have multiple AOs in one pool. The ConsolFreight (Defactor asset originator) pool on Centrifuge is dedicated to them.

Crypto King: Alrighty, that was an amazing round with some great replies. Opening the forum for community in next 5 seconds.

@community please be ready with your questions , James and Patty you can pick the best 4 questions and tag them with your answers.

Telegram Q & A Round

Q1.Can you give an overview of your Tokenomics, and the UTILITY of Token?

James: Great question, the tokenomics are based on a modern buyback and make model. Revenue generated by the platform will be used to buyback the $FACTR token creating a strong value accrual model.

Q2.Can you list 1–3 killer features of this project that makes it ahead of its competitors? What is the competitive advantage your project has that you feel most confident about?

James: They’re not “killers” of the Defactor but they are working in a similar space. Alliance Block, Amplify and Centrifuge. We actually have a partnership with Amplify and Centrifuge. We are collaborating instead of competing. Working together to build the future of finance.

Q3.Where i can get all the latest news about ? Do you have Twitter/Telegram/Discord community? If yes can you share the link here because there is a lot of fake telegram/twitter groups?

James: If you follow us on Twitter and join the Telegram group you can keep up to date with all our announcements. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Twitter: https://twitter.com/defactor_

Telegram: https://t.me/defactor_official

P Fisher: @Garrett_Hallman Couldn’t agree more on marketing being an essential part of growing a project. We have a multilayer marketing plan investing in our brand directly work in the community, events, and campaigns to asset orginators. We also believe it’s important to work within the ecossytem to grow DeFi altogether. An example of this is our partnership with Algorand. We recently hosted a series of events and featured in a keynote at Paris Blockchain Week.

Q4.Many projects have problems with UI / UX and this one turns off new users. How do you plan to improve the interaction with new users and with users outside the crypto space?

James: @jamesdefactor, That’s a good point. DeFi isn’t know for its strong UI/UX, but we have a strong team behind the project led by Bhairav Patel. Bhairav is experienced and knows what’s necessary to make the user experience seamless for new users.

Crypto King: I guess you are done with 5 now :) Let us know if you want to add some final words for the community :)

James: I just want to say thanks to the community for having us and thanks for all the great questions. I hope to see you guys in the Defactor community. Thank you.

P Fisher: Thank you for all the great questions!

Crypto King: Peeps please join Defactor community. Well with this our AMA concludes. It was lovely to have you both here in our Clubhouse. Some really great replies from you folks. Cheers!
