MetaMask’s newest Apple Pay connection allows more than 68 fiat currencies to enter the crypto market.

According to an official release, Metamask has incorporated Apple Pay on its upgraded iOS, allowing crypto purchases via Wyre, a fiat to crypto gateway.

Using this latest connection, Apple Pay customers may now buy cryptocurrency with debit or credit cards. Through the Wyre Application Programming Interface, a daily maximum deposit of $400 can be deposited into their wallet using Visa or Mastercard (API).

Metamask also mentioned on Twitter that it allows gasless transactions.

Despite the fact that MetaMask is a decentralized crypto wallet service provider, Apply Pay customers must still comply with Know-Your-Customer (KYC) standards.

Adoption of Cryptocurrency Recognized

Many organizations, particularly payment gateways, are beginning to see the need of providing services that support crypto adoption. According to a recent CNBC study, one in every five adult Americans has experimented with cryptocurrency.

MetaMask is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet service provider that enables users to buy, store, transmit, and trade their crypto assets in a decentralized way. MetaMask recently reported that in January of this year, its monthly active users surpassed 30 million.

Rumors and speculation in the crypto industry abound that Apple may acquire Bitcoin as part of its reserves to create liquidity. This will only be feasible if Apple Pay supports direct Bitcoin purchases from its platform. To function as a crypto exchange in most jurisdictions, the institution must be licensed.

Second, Wyre has been designated as a third-party payment processor. As a result, there is no need to have a reserve for direct purchase.
